Well said! This needs to be at the top of every things to do list - both entrepreneurs and employees. Imagine how much we could accomplish daily, weekly and monthly if we had this level of focus.

Thanks for challenging us!

I could not resist taking a minute to respond to this post.

I am a marketing professional who has worked beside some phenomenal multi-taskers. However, I have been noticing in recent years how sloppy and thoughtless work has become.

There is no doubt in my mind that people are focusing less and less everyday, which is truly a shame because, as you mentioned, it really cuts into your business by breaking your focus.

Additionally, I would like to add, that I truly believe in the power of “reflection”. That is where you actually soak in the knowledge or information you have taken in over the day and organize it into something meaningful. Again, with everyone multi-tasking, I rarely see people sitting there reflecting and thinking, which is really a detriment to our society's creativity and intellect.

Anyway, I just wanted to say, I truly enjoyed the post.

Stay focused and have a great day.
Sincerely,
Eric Pfahler
